Vicky Savage

President and Founder

Vicky started UptoDate Bookkeeping because she loves helping business owners grow. She is committed to helping small to mid-sized companies succeed in their passion by focusing on her passion – bookkeeping. This commitment has made UptoDate Bookkeeping a popular choice for business owners across the Twin Cities Metro Area.

When not working, Vicky loves spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoys road trips and traveling with her family.

Brian Thompson

Bookkeeping Manager

Brian joined our team in 2015 and works closely with clients on their bookkeeping and payroll services. Born and raised in Forest Lake, Brian remains involved in the community and appreciates the way that UptoDate Bookkeeping positively impacts the area.

In his spare time, Brian likes to take road trips around the country and explore State and National Parks. He also does the occasional DIY project and plays mini golf.

Darnell Sue

Office Manager

Darnell joined the team in 2023 after relocating from Seattle,WA where she previously worked in Marketing and owned her own networking company. She enjoys learning about the diverse clients UptoDate works with and assisting with office operations to help things run as smoothly as possible.

Hailing from the West Coast, she was not entirely prepared for Winter and did not realize hands shrink in the cold; she lost her wedding ring but the community came together to find it. You can read all about the unlikely outcome by Googling it! In her spare time and when the weather permits, she enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits, trying new recipes and road trips.

Brian Anderson

Bookkeeping Specialist

Brian has been with UptoDate Bookkeeping since moving to Minnesota in 2015 and enjoys the unique challenge that every client brings. His critical thinking, adaptability, and problem solving skills allow him to help each client with their individual needs. He appreciates the camaraderie of the UptoDate Bookkeeping team and the teaching environment that keeps him learning and makes it possible to help clients succeed.

When not at work, Brian enjoys traveling, camping, hiking with his family and dog, finding new adventures, and chasing around his two boys who don’t know how to sit still!

Emilio DeGennaro

Bookkeeping Specialist

Emilio started at UptoDate Bookkeeping in mid-2020 and enjoys the unique challenges of working with a variety of bookkeeping clients and helping get their books updated. He also appreciates the family type atmosphere at UptoDate that cultivates a productive learning environment so he can better serve his clients.

In his spare time, he enjoys following the Minnesota Twins and watching the baseball games on TV or going to the games at Target Field. He also likes to grow a garden in his backyard so he can enjoy fresh produce during the summer and fall as long as the wildlife do not get to it first!

Jennifer Strandberg

Bookkeeping Associate

Jennifer joined the team in mid-2021. She enjoys the variety of work at Uptodate Bookkeeping and has yet to be bored?

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, family time, and being out on or in the water in any way, shape, or form. Summer is her favorite season. Bring on the heat!
